Indonesian Peanut Sauce with Organic Tofu

Savory, nutty and to die for! This is hands down my favorite recipe for tofu because it adds a rich flavor to the protein and is the perfect addition to risotto or rice. Check out this quick and easy recipe that's packed with an Indonesian flavor.

2 tbsp Olive Oil

1 pack of Organic Tofu

1 bottle of Whole Foods Organic Peanut Sauce

1 carton of sliced Mushrooms

1 tbsp Chili Powder

1 tsp Paprika

2 tsp Ground Garlic

2 tsp Onion Powder

2 tsp Ground Pepper

1 tsp Ground Mustard

1 tsp Cumin


Unpack your tofu and drain all the water out of it. Make sure you also wrap the tofu in a paper towel, adding pressure to remove more water. Place tofu in a bowl and add all the seasoning to cubed organic tofu and mix well. In a large saucepan, add 2 tbsp of olive oil to medium-high heat. Add the carton of sliced mushrooms (1-2 cups). After 5 minutes add tofu to the pan and saute for another 10 minutes. Flip over tofu after 5 minutes, after it is brown on both sides.

Cover pan with a lid until mushrooms are soft (5 minutes), then add peanut sauce until the entire mixture is covered. Serve on top risotto or rice and add your favorite vegetable on the side and enjoy!
