Healthy pesto is hard but this recipe is easy. This is a rich, thick, flavorful pesto with the easiest ingredients.
2 Bunches of Fresh Basil
1/3 Cup Pecans
1/3 Cup of Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Parmesean Cheese
4 Garlic Cloves
1 Box Whole Wheat Penne
1 Container Grape Tomatoes
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Add all ingredients into blender or food processor, except tomatoes and pasta. You may need to add water because your ingredients are too dry. After you start blending, wait until pesto is smool consistency. Make pasta (according to box instructions).
Mix pesto and pasta together, until penn is completely covered. Put into nonstick pan and add halved tomatoes on top. Put in over for 5-10 mintes, until tomatoes are browned!
